This is a fundraiser for the Newcomerstown Public Library. Too many of our libraries are being closed, due to cuts in the budget. Let's help keep this one alive. Jane Hamilton and I will be coming to talk, read, answer your questions, and generally carry on. Please come if you can. If you can't, and you care about libraries, send a donation, no matter how small, to the library. Every dollar counts! The $30.00 ticket includes a buffet style dinner provided by Raven's Glenn. What a deal! TWO award winning, best selling, Oprah's Book Club authors AND dinner!! Event to be held at Raven's Glenn Banquet room. No tickets will be available at the door.
For tickets, which MUST BE PURCHASED BY SEPT. 1, please send a check for $30.00 a person made out to Friends of the Newcomerstown Library, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Saturday 3:00 PM
For one thing, Hartford is a swell town in the middle of the beautiful Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin. For another, this event requires you neither to wake up early nor stay out late. So come on over to the Hartford City Hall comumnity room for some fun with the author and with fellow book lovers. Bring your comments and questions and requests. Apple Blossom Books will be on hand at 2 to allow for browsing and buying of Elizabeth's books, and the reading will start at 3. After the reading, make plans to go out for a nice dinner.

Nashua Reads One Book
Sunday 2:00 PM
Please come for a discussion of WE ARE ALL WELCOME HERE, Elizabeth's much admired novel about Paige Dunn, a strong and beautiful woman severely disabled by polio. Set in 1964 against the backdrop of the Civil Rights movement, the story of Paige's struggle for basic human rights parallels that of so many others fighting for the same thing. Told from the point of view of Diana, Paige Dunn's 14-year old daughter (who is fighting for her own kind of liberation), this novel, compared by one reviewer to TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, is based on a true story, and is a blend of Elizabeth's trademark humor and pathos. There will be a discussion of the book as well as a short reading, followed by a Q&A session.
